1. What are cookies and how they are used in the Equity-LA II project
2. Type, purpose and operation of cookies:
Cookies, in terms of their permanence, may be divided into permanent or session cookies. The permanent cookies expire when the user closes the browser. The session cookies expire when the purpose is reached (eg, to keep users browsing preferences) or when they are manually deleted.
Additionally, depending on its purpose, cookies can be classified as follows:
COOKIES FOR GEO-LOCATION: These cookies are used to find out the country where a service is being requested. These cookies are completely anonymous and they are only used to help guiding the content to its location. ANALYTICAL COOKIES: Each time a user visits a service, a tool from an external supplier (Omniture, NetScope, Comscore and others can be added) generates an analytic cookie in the user's computer. These cookies are generated only in the visit, and will be in used for future visits to the croma-studio.com services to identify anonymously the visitors. The main objectives to be achieved are: Identify anonymous users/web surfers through œCookieâ (identifies browsers and devices, not people) and the approximate counting number of visitors and their tendencies over time; identify anonymously the most visited content and therefore more attractive to users; acknowledge whether the user is a new visitor or a repeat visitor: Important: cookies will never be linked to any personal data that could identify users.
Companies that generate these cookies have their own privacy policies. Currently, Equity-LA II web site uses, among others, Doubleclick (Google) platform for managing these services. For more information, visit http://www.google.es/policies/privacy/ads/#toc-doubleclick and http://www.google.es/policies/privacy/ads/.
