Framework of analysis

EquityCancer-LA uses the PARIHS (Promoting Action on Research Implementation in Health Services) and CFIR (Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research) analysis frameworks. These frameworks are based on the dimensions identified by Pettigrew and Whipp; content, context and implementation process, to evaluate interventions. In addition, it builds on the previous work of the Equity-LA (2009-2013) and Equity-LA II (2013-2019) projects that analysed access to care and interventions for improving integration of care in Latin America, and extends them to early cancer diagnosis. This conceptual framework, adapted for the evaluation of early cancer diagnosis intervention, proposes to analyse both a) the effectiveness of interventions based on intermediate (access, coordination, knowledge and skills for early cancer diagnosis and the costs of intervention and implementation) and final outcomes (health and health services, equity of access and efficiency) and b) the analysis of the context of networks and the implementation process and how this affects their effectiveness.
